The rest, I learned by watching him live.
My father didn’t just speak about wisdom. He moved through life as if magic were real, because for him it was. And it was never random. He knew how to master his mind, shape his reality, keep his balance, care for his health, and build deep relationships. He lived as if there were no limits, and he achieved what most people would never dream of.
He did all of it in a way the modern world never taught us.
Then he taught me how.
How to make a life special. How to make it purposeful and profound. How to make reality something you create, not just something that happens to you.

WEEK 1: What is the world, really?
Nothing Stands Alone
Before any practice, we begin with how the Maya understand the universe. This is going to be the deepest introduction to the Maya cosmovision we have ever done! The construction of reality and how it unfolds will be revealed, in accordance with the teachings of Carlos Barrios.This is the Maya geo-cosmovision, and it is the foundation that makes everything else in the program make sense. You will never look at the world quite the same way again.

WEEK 2: What is time?
The Day Is Alive
We will take a very profound dive into what time is and explore the Maya calendar in depth. However, this will not only be theory, the Maya had a completely different relationship with time and many secrets about how to live life that came with.
You will learn how to have a better relationship with time, break out of your own reality, use to power of your mind & the spiritual energy within you to be able to bring into fruition the things that you want in your life... Simply, prepare to have your mind bent & learn how to truly create change in your life.

WEEK 3: Who am I?
You Were Born With a Purpose
Explore how to discover the true purpose of your life. For the Maya, life is worthless when it feels meaningless, and they didn't just believe that... They created systems that allowed people to find what their true purpose is. We will explore what the tradition says about discovering your purpose & do practices together that will allow us to find it + give you practical and realistic ways to live with it.

The Maya Guide to Being Whole
Journey through the Maya understanding of the underworld and the upper world, and learn how to move from darkness into light.
We’ll look at what it means to face life, face your triggers, and create real change, and how to begin mastering your own mind. This is where the wisdom becomes personal, practical, and transformative.

WEEK 5: What do I owe the earth and those who came before me?
You Cannot Take Without Giving
Explore the role of the ancestors and the meaning of ceremony, fire, and offering.
You’ll learn why, in the Maya view, we give before we ask, and how gratitude and reciprocity can become a way of living, not just a ritual. Not to mention, it won't be the first time during the program, but in this session we really will dive deeper into some of those secrets of my dad's thatI will FINALLY reveal on magic & going beyond what you believe possible!

Your Time Is Now
Understand how the Maya Elders see the era we live in, then bring this ancient wisdom into the life you actually have.
We’ll build a daily practice that fits your modern routine, your work, and your relationships, so that what you’ve learned doesn’t stay in the classroom. It becomes who you are.

I come from a line of Maya spiritual leaders. My father, Tata Carlos Barrios, was a renowned Maya Ajq’ij, a member of the Guatemalan Maya Elders Council, and the author of The Book of Destiny.
I grew up inside this wisdom. I traveled Guatemala at his side. I looked for answers elsewhere, and then I came back to what had been in front of me all along.
Today, through The Mayan Wisdom Project, I work to share these teachings with the world with integrity, to protect them from dilution and misappropriation, and to uplift the Maya communities who carry them, including the Q’eqchi’ community in Lanquin, Guatemala & Kaqchikel Community, in Chimaltenango, Guatemala.
